- Gaurish Akki is an Indian journalist and television news presenter. He also works as a Kannada film actor, director, and YouTuber. He is known for appearing in the films ‘Cinema My Darling’ (2016), Kengulabi (2018), and ‘Fantasy’ (2022). He is the founder of Alma Media School in Bengaluru. In 2023, he came into the limelight when he appeared as a contestant in the television reality show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 10.
- Gaurish Akki began his professional journey as a lecturer at Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College. Later, he taught at S Nijalingappa College in Bengaluru. However, his passion for media led him to switch his teaching career after one year.
- In 2000, Gaurish started his news career with ETV Kannada News channel in Hyderabad and worked there in various roles such as voice-over artist, copy editor, bulletin producer, and program producer.
- Soon after completing his work with ETV News, in March 2005, Gaurish Akki joined TV9 (Kannada) in Bangalore, where he was one of the founding members and an instrumental reason for the channel’s success. He anchored numerous programs on political and social and cultural issues on the channel.
