  • Geetanjali and her husband met at a party thrown by their mutual friend. At the party, their family introduced them and Geetanjali was attracted to Vikram’s charm. On the other hand, Vikram was attracted to her because she was a writer and actor. In an interview, while talking about her marriage, she said that Vikram offered to drop her home after the party and she agreed to it. They spent some time together and got to know each other better. They agreed to get married because of their mutual decision for Geetanjali to study further and work after marriage.

  • In an interview, she said that she was a vegetarian, but her husband and his family were hardcore non-vegetarians. At the beginning of their marriage, she faced difficulty in adjusting, but as time passed, she got used to it.
  • Geetanjali worked as an advertising professional for a long time. She became the chief executive of Quadrant Communications, renamed by the Lintas, who held a majority stake in Pratibha Advertising, owned by The Kirloskars.
  • She went to London and trained in two departments of a very large advertising agency in brand strategy development and client servicing.
  • She also started a concept called Lintertainment which focused on building the brand into the storyline rather than standing out.
  • After working at Quadrant Communications for a long time, she became the chairperson of the Indo-Japan Initiative. At that time, many companies requested the Kirloskars to teach them how to work with the Japanese. So, she decided to start IJI with some funding from the group and contributions from a few companies including Infosys, Bharat Forge, Canon, Mitsui, and Citizen. This initiative led to several seminars and events to understand the Japanese style of manufacturing and teach the Japanese about Indian cuisine or apparel.

  • In 2022, she took over the role of Chairperson at Toyota Tsusho Insurance Broker India Ltd and became a Director at Kirloskar Systems Limited. She also served as the Chairperson of Kirloskar Technologies Ltd. Additionally, she established Sakra World Hospital in Bangalore and took on the role of Chairperson at the hospital.
  • In December 2022, Geetanjali wrote a “eulogy,” published in the Times Of India to remember her late husband Vikram Kirloskar. Vikram died in November 2022. In the letter, she wrote that she did not want to mourn his death but celebrate it.
