  • Harmeet was nine years old when he was discovered by Shivaji Park Gymkhana.
  • At 16, Harmeet received a scholarship of Rs. 50,000 from the Ramakant Achrekar Foundation for his consistent performances.

  • In 2013, Harmeet was caught in a controversy when he faced match-fixing charges along with his other teammates at Rajasthan Royals. Later when the BCCI investigated the matter, Harmeet was found not guilty and was relieved from all the charges.
  • Harmeet played for Tripura in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy where he took thirteen wickets in eight matches.
  • Harmeet moved to the United States in August 2021. In his initial days, he did odd jobs and also gave cricket coaching before playing professional cricket in the United States.
  • Harmeet was included in the squad of the United States national cricket team for the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. He took the first wicket of the tournament in the opening match against Canada.
