• Jeakson started playing football at the age of 4. He was early introduced to football by his father.

• During childhood, Jeakson’s parents wanted their son to become an IAS officer.

• Jeakson was so passionate about football even in his childhood that he did not take food for more than two days when his parents told him to stop playing the game and concentrate on his studies.

• Jeakson’s father used to play for Manipuri clubs NISA and Manipur Police.

• Jeakson was eleven years old when he left his hometown in Thoubal district to travel to Chandigarh to join the Chandigarh football academy. He spent five years in the academy and later joined Minerva Punjab Academy.

• In 2010, Jeakson and his cousin Amarjit Singh Kiyam both left for Chandigarh as nine-year-olds and joined the Chandigarh Football Academy.

• In 2015, Jeakson’s father suffered a brain stroke which forced him to leave his public sector job.

• At Minerva Academy, Jeakson went on to captain the Minerva side that won the AIFF Youth Leagues for the Under-15 and Under-16 categories in consecutive years.

• At 15, Jeakson was among the youngest players to feature in the Durand Cup tournament, one of the oldest football competitions in the country.

• Jeakson represented the India under-17 side which participated in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup which was hosted in India.

• On 9 October 2017, Jeakson scored India’s first-ever goal in a FIFA World Cup tournament against Colombia in the 82nd minute from a header.

• Both Jeakson and his cousin brother Amarjit represented the Indian under-17 national team in the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup India where Amarjit captained the side. His younger sister has also represented India in youth teams.

• On 29 November 2017, Jeakson made his professional debut for Indian Arrows in the first match of the season against Chennai City; he started and played 90 minutes as Indian Arrows won 3–0.

• In October 2018, Kerala Blasters announced the signing of Jeakson.

• After returning back from the loan, Jeakson was promoted to the senior team by newly appointed Kerala Blasters coach Eelco Schattorie for the 2019–20 Indian Super League.

• Jeakson made his senior debut for Kerala Blasters FC on 20 October 2019 in the opening game against ATK FC. He became the second-youngest player behind Dheeraj Singh to make a debut for the Blasters. He played 82 minutes in the defensive midfield position before being substituted by Sahal Abdul Samad.

• Jeakson played 13 matches in his debut season for the Kerala Blasters senior side. He later extended his contract with the club till the end of the 2023 season.

• Jeakson was named in the 23-men Indian squad for the 2021 SAFF Championship in Maldives. His only appearance in the tournament came as a substitute in the final against Nepal, where India won the match 3–0.

• On 20 December 2023, Jeakson scored his first-ever goal in the Indian Super League as well as for the Kerala Blasters FC against East Bengal FC during the stoppage time. He came as a substitute in the 46th minute and helped Kerala Blasters to draw the match 1-1.

• On 25 April 2022, Jeakson signed a three-year contract extension that will keep him at the club till 2025.

• In July 2024, Jeakson signed a 4-year contract with East Bengal FC for a record transfer fee of ₹3.2 Crore, which was the highest in Indian football’s history.
