- He later started playing cricket and decided to pursue a cricket career.
- On 11 July 2021, he made his first-class debut for Worcestershire against Warwickshire. In the first innings, he took 2 wickets for 73 runs and made 12 runs not out, and in the second innings, he took 1 wicket for 67 runs.
- He played his debut List-A match on 25 July 2021 for Worcestershire against Kent in which he scored 4 runs and took 1 wicket for 48 runs.
- Baker played for England Under-19 against Sri Lanka Under-19 in 2021. He was a reserve player of the England team in the 2022 Under-19 World Cup held in West Indies.
