- Josh Grisetti was born in Washington D.C.
- Born near Rocky Mount (close to Roanoke) in Virginia, he was the pupil of Franklin County High School from his earliest youth.
- Later, he studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts, and graduated from high school with a degree in drama in 2000.
- He was Mordred in Camelot at the North Shore Music Theatre in 2005.
- He also had a brief stint in the ABC sitcom The Knights of Prosperity in 2007.
- In 2008-2009, Grisetti performed as David Kolowitz in the Off Broadway musical, Enter Laughing (originally called So Long, 174th Street) at York Theatre in York, PA.
- He was to have his Broadway debut in the Neil Simon revival of Broadway Bound at the Nederlander Theatre in 2009-10, with David Cromer directing the show.
- The production was cancelled two weeks before opening with its sister show Brighton Beach Memoirs closing its doors because of low ticket sales.
