Some Lesser Known Facts About Koneti Sulochana

• Koneti Sulochana hails from Madanapalle, of district Annamayya in Andhra Pradesh.

• She worked as an agricultuarl daily-wage labourer and once lived in a single-roon house in Madanapalle.

• She later became involved in local political activities.

• Over the time. Sulochana became associated with property and real-estate dealings in and around Madanapalle.

• She allegedly lent money to people and later pressured them to repay the debts. In some cases, she allegedly threatened them when they could repay the loans. She used these situations to take control of valuable properties belonging to the borrowers.

• According to the police record, a 502-square-yard plot and a building at Bandimeedakammalapalle, together valued at around Rs 60 crore, and 1.75 acres of land at Ponnutipalyam.

• Police are also investigating an allegation involving 47 cents of land valued at around Rs 10 crore, which was allegedly acquired using a forged Power of Attorney. The alleged transaction was registered on 13 June 2023.

• Police allege that she was involved in property disputes, intimidation and suspected illegal acquisition of land.

• By September 2026, police record reportedly showed 14 criminal cases were registered against her at different Madanapalle police stations, including One Town, Two Town, and Taluka/Rural police stations. A rowdy sheet was also reportedly opened against her at Madanapalle II Town Police Station.

• The allegation against her included intimidation, disputed property transactions, land-related disputes, and suspected illegal acquisition of property. Police were also investigating allegations involving documents and signature connected to property transactions.

• In September 2026, Koneti Sulochana came into news after police conducted searches at Sulochana’s residence and at the house of her brother, Koneti Srinivasulu, under a court-issued search warrant after a complaint by Marpuri Venkatesh Naidu.

• During the searched, police reportedly seized around 50 property-related documents and 15 old bank bond papers carrying allegedly forged signatures. The documents were sent to the Forensic Science laboratory for examination.

• Sulochana was not at home during the search. According to the police she was in Vijayawada at that time. Her children were present at the residence, so police handed then details of the seized documents.

• Police are also examining whether any political person helped her in expanding her property-related activities in Madanapalle and its nearby areas.

• Local people of Madanapalle referred her as the “Madanapalle Lady Don.”
