  • In Madhya Pradesh, due to his family’s poor financial conditions, he was finding it difficult to continue his studies and his parents expected him to open a tea stall or a paan shop.
  • In his teens, Manav, along with his childhood friends, used to dive in the Narmada River in search of money thrown by the devotees. There, a swimming coach spotted him and praised his swimming skills.
  • The coach then decided to train him in swimming. Later, Manav got selected for the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Bhopal and trained there for around two years. He then played in various state and national badminton tournaments and won more than 14 medals in swimming.

  • While growing up, he developed an interest in acting. Later, he shifted to Mumbai to pursue his career as an actor.
  • He had got a photo clicked by a person in his village which he used to take to his auditions for various acting projects.
