Marcus Harris is a left-handed batsman and started playing cricket at a very young age.

Earlier, he was a part of the Scarborough Cricket Club of Western Australia, Scarborough, Australia.

He made his first-class debut in 2011 for Western Australia against South Australia at Perth, Australia.

At the age of 18, Marcus scored 157 for Western Australia in his third first-class match against Queensland, which made him the youngest Australian player to score a first-class 150. He broke the 115-year-old record of the former Australian batsman, Clem Hill.
