Maria was born in a musical household. In an interview with The Hindu she said,

“I was born into a musical family. Music was everywhere and all around me. I couldn’t escape it even if I wanted to,”

In 2010, Maria made her film debut under music director D. Imman with the song ‘Kadavule’ for the tamil movie Kacheri Aramban (2010).

Maria Roe Vincent briefly taught western contemporary at KM Music Conservatory from 2011 to 2012.

Her breakthrough came when A.R. Rahman gave her an opportunity to sing ‘Adiye’ for his film Kadal (2013).

Maria Roe Vincent has sung, arranged vocals and done background music for several films like Linga, Maryaan, Kochadhayan, Yaamirukka Bayamey, Million Dollar Arm.

She has also been the judge for auditions for the show ‘The Voice’ at Anna University in 2015.
