- Marizanne Kapp is a South African cricketer who is known for being the first cricketer for South Africa to take a hat-trick in a Women’s Twenty20 International match. In 2023, she was picked by Delhi Capitals for the Women’s Premier League.
- She was born into a family that was totally into fitness. She and her younger sister used to play all the sports in school. When she was in school, her father used to take her for a sprint every night, swimming in the morning and running during the day. She used to take care of her fitness while growing up and it became a routine for her.
- When she was young, she used to play rugby, soccer and many other sports with the boys. In an interview, she said that she was a tomboy. She liked playing all the sports, but cricket was her favourite. In an interview, she said that she learned a lot of things from cricket including bowling, batting and fielding.
- Kapp represented her region, Eastern Province, in several sports.
- When she finished school, her mother asked her to find a job, but at that time, there was no money given to the players who played for South Africa.
