• Nagendra Nath Tripathi is a senior organisational leader of BJP, known for his long work in strengthening the party’s internal structure and grassroots network.

• He was born and raised in a farmer family in Belauli village of Sant Kabir Nagar (then a part of Basti), Uttar Pradesh.

• Tripathi is the eldest of his five siblings.

• During his school days in Basti, he joined a local branch of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a swayamsevak.

• Later he became a full-time RSS pracharak (campaigner) and spent many years working at the grassroots level instead joining the mainstream politics.
