Records/Achievements (main ones)• With 11 wickets to his name, Lyon stood the leading wicket taker in the 2010-11 Big Bash League.
• While playing against Zimbabwe-A, he took 11 wickets in the tri-series, thus earning Man of the series title.
• Lyon became third Australian and seventeenth International player to take his first wicket off his first ball in Test cricket after he dismissed Kumar Sangakkara while making his debut against Sri Lanka. He also became 131st cricketer to take 5 wicket haul after he finished off with 5 for 34.
• He became sixth Australian off-spinner to take 100 Test Wickets in late 2013 and he also took a 5 wicket haul in the same match.
• Nathan has the record of taking the highest number of wickets by an Australian off-spinner. He surpassed the Hugh Trumble's record of 14 wickets in 2015.
