- He pursued Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur. He secured fourth rank in the IIT entrance examincation and was awarded the Director’s Gold Medal in 1997.
- He later built a career in financial research and market strategy.
- He worked as Systems Manager at Hindustan Unilever Limited from July 1997 to June 2000.
- In September 2000, he joined Infosys as a Senior Technical Architect. He worked in this position until June 2003.
- Neelkanth served as the Managing Director of Credit Suisse from June 2003 to May 2023. He led APAC strategy and headed the firm’s India Equity strategy and research teams.
