• Paoli Dam was born in a Bengali family in India, but her parental roots are in Faridpur (now in Bangladesh).

• She was good at studies in her school and college days and also earned a few scholarships.

• After making her television debut with the Bengali TV series ‘Jibon Niye Khela’ (1999), she appeared in the TV series ‘Tithir Atithi,’ which aired on ETV Bangla (now Colors Bangla). She played a negative role in the television series.
