- While studying in college, he played cricket for the Rajasthan state team in the Ranji Trophy.
- Before he ventured into advertising, he worked as a tea taster.
- In 1982, he started working at Ogilvy as a client-servicing executive in India. He began his advertising career by creating a Sunlight Detergent print ad, which was the first ad written by him.
- He wrote the Indian patriotic song ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’ for the 1988 National Integration campaign.
- In 1989, he moved to the creative department, where he crafted numerous popular ad campaigns in India.
