• Radhika Yadav was born and grew up in Gurugram, Haryana.

• She was a state and national-level Tennis player who had won several competitions and represented Haryana at the national and international levels many times.

• Radhika passed her higher secondary in 2018 from Scottish High International School, Gurugram.

• In January 2018, Radhikha achieved the milestone of reaching the 75th position in the All India Tennis Association (AITA) Girls Under 18 Tennis rankings, making it to the Top 100.

• In 2021, she achieved her career-best AITA Women’s Doubles ranking of No. 53.

• Radhika had remained in the Top 100 doubles for the next two years.

• For the past 15 days, a dispute had been ongoing between Radhika and her father. Due to the depression he was facing because of Radhika, he shot her at her house on July 10, 2025.

• On 10 July 2025, it was Radhika’s mother’s birthday, and she was in the kitchen preparing a special meal for her. At around 10:30 AM, Radhika’s father allegedly shot her five times with his licensed .32 calibre pistol, of which three bullets hit her, one striking her neck, and two hitting her in the back.

• Only Radhika, her father, and her mother were home at that time; her brother, who is a property dealer, was out of town. Her mother was unwell, so she was resting in her room and was unaware of what had happened.

• Upon hearing the sound of a gunshot, Radhika’s uncle and cousin, who live on the ground floor of the house, rushed to the scene. They found Radhika lying on the floor surrounded by blood. They immediately took her to a nearby private hospital in critical condition, but unfortunately, she was found dead upon arrival.

• Radhika’s father confessed to his crime during the preliminary investigation. Deepak reportedly told the police that villagers mocked him for living off his daughter’s earnings. He expressed that he felt “ashamed” because of these comments. He added,

When I used to go to Wazirabad village to get milk, people used to taunt me, saying that I live off my daughter’s earnings. This troubled me a lot. Some people even questioned my daughter’s character,”

• Radhika Yadav was known for her helpfulness; she frequently helped underprivileged children by offering free coaching at her academy when their families were unable to pay the fees.
