 Some Lesser Known Facts About RJ Naved

• Naved moved to Delhi from Bugrasi, Uttar Pradesh, after completing class 6 to pursue further studies.

• His first job was a part-time job in Delhi, where he installed curtain rods at houses after school in the evening. He used to get paid Rs. 1,200 per month.

• Naved then started working as a Customer Service Representative at Airtel in Delhi. He worked for more than two years there.

• While working at Airtel, he used to speak in a female voice on calls to handle male customers, many of whom flirted with him.

• In 2000, he participated in the RJ Hunt show organized by Radio Mirchi, and after competing with around 30,000 participants, he emerged as the winner. Since then, he has been working with Radio Mirchi.

• The first show he hosted after joining Radio Mirchi was ‘Dr. Love.’

• Naved has hosted various other shows like ‘Sunset Samosa’ and ‘Bumper to Bumper.’

• Although he received backlash from irritated call receivers, he gained fame for the prank call show ‘Mirchi Murga,’ which remains his most popular and celebrated show.

• He even prank-called actor Archana Puran Singh‘s house help on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ in 2023.

• Apart from call pranks, he also performs other pranks such as ‘Lift Pranks’ and ‘Police Pranks,’ which he shares on his social media accounts.

• For about 2.5 years, he hosted a show on Radio Mirchi where he reviewed newly released films. He could not afford to watch them himself, so he asked friends who had seen the films to give him the story details for his reviews.

• Naved also provides courses on communication skills and radio jockeying.
