Some Lesser Known Facts About Ross Adair
- Ross has been playing cricket since the age of 11. His interest in cricket increased after the 2005 Ashes series between England and Australia.
- At Irish under-13s, Ross used to bat at number 10 and was the opening bowler for his team. Later, he shifted his focus towards batting as he started gaining weight.
- Ross started playing rugby for the Sullivan Upper School in 2011. Later, he began to play professional rugby for Ulster in the Pro12 competition in the 2014-15 season.
- He had to take out a £15,000 medical loan to finance the operation for his hip injury. He sustained the injury while playing in the English championship and faced financial difficulties after being released by the Jersey Reds club.
- After recovering from the injury, Ross returned to rugby at an amateur level with Ballynahinch RFC and even won the Ulster Senior League in 2019. Later, he decided to leave rugby when he realized he would not be able to make a comeback in professional rugby.
- After rugby, Ross worked in a real estate company and at the same time he pursued cricket.
- On 20 August 2020, Ross made his T20 debut for the Northern Knights in the Inter-Provincial Trophy.
