Sachin Baby’s father, PC Baby, is a Cricket fanatic. He was so obsessed with Sachin Tendulkar that he decided to name his “baby” after him.

Though a fine batsman, Baby took 25 matches to score his maiden century in first-class cricket, an unbeaten 200 against Hyderabad.

Baby made his IPL debut with the Rajasthan Royals in 2013. However, he got a chance to bat in only one of the four matches that he played where he scored only 3. The following seasons resulted in a disappointment for him as he went unsold each time.

At 2016 edition of IPL, Baby was signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for his base price of INR 10 lakh.

Baby captains the Kerala ODI team in List A cricket and recently stepped down from the Ranji captaincy in order to concentrate solely on his batting.
