He gained prominence for playing the role of a senior inspector in the true crime anthology series ‘Crime Patrol.’ Sanjeev’s impressive portrayal of serious and intense police inspector characters has earned him considerable praise and recognition in the field.

  • After dedicating several years to refining his acting skills by performing in various theatrical productions, Sanjeev decided to explore opportunities in Bollywood for which he relocated from Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai. Sanjeev got a role in a DD /National show, which marked his debut in the television industry. He, however, maintained his roots in theatre and continued to participate in theatrical productions as well.
  • Sanjeev Tyagi has graced the stage in theatrical productions which include ‘Devdas’ (2018). In this adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chatterjee’s beloved Bengali romance novel, Tyagi portrayed the character ‘Chunnilal.’ This 50 minutes-long play was performed at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai, and was directed by Saif Hyder Hasan.

  • Sanjeev, in an interview, reflected on his journey to landing a role in the television series ‘Crime Patrol.’ He mentioned that becoming part of the series was relatively easy for him. Sanjeev added that one of his friends recommended his name to the casting team of Crime Petrol. This referral set things in motion, leading the team to approach Tyagi, and subsequently, he was chosen to play the role of an inspector in the series after the audition.
  • He has been associated with the television series ‘Crime Patrol’ for over a decade. He appeared on the show from 2011-2021 and played the roles of Abhimanyu Jindal, Kevalram, Thakur Mahendra Singh, and the role of inspector in the series. In 2022, he appeared as ‘Abhimanyu Jindal’ in Crime Patrol 2.0.

    Sanjeev appeared in many other television series such as Mr Malhotra in StarPlus’ ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ (2005), Ronnie Iyer and Ranjan Mishra in Sony Entertainment Television’s (SET) ‘Adaalat’ (2011-2014), and a lawyer in Colors TV’s ‘Court Room – Sachchai Hazir Ho’ (2019).

He appeared as ‘Sharan,’ a policeman in the 2015 spy action thriller film ‘Baby.’ The film starred Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, and Taapsee Pannu among others.
