- Satya’s father is an Indian Zoroastrian of Parsi heritage.
- His mother belongs to the German Jewish heritage who was born in India and grew up in Italy.
- It is speculated that he was a member of Yale’s undergraduate senior secret society called Skull and Bones.
- During his time at Yale, he acted and directed student theatre productions.
- Despite his debut in 2003, he got his claim to fame with the movie “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.” For this role, he was nominated for the Detroit Film Critics Society Award for Best Ensemble and the Scream Award for Best Villain.
- Satya has also portrayed the lead character from Salman Rushdie’s novel Midnight’s Children in the film adaptation.
- Since a young age, Satya has enjoyed playing cello and has even performed around the world in symphonies. He also plays for the band He’s My Brother She’s My Sister, a Los Angeles–based group.
