• Swaranjit Singh Khalsa grew up in Jalandhar, India.

• His grandfather, Inderpal Singh Khalsa, was associated with the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee as a member. He also supported the Shiromani Akali Dal party.

• His father, Parminderpal Singh Khalsa, works for the Sikh International Society in India.
