- Tirthanand Rao is an Indian actor, comedian, and mimicry artist who gained recognition for impersonating the Indian actor Nana Patekar. He made two separate attempts to end his life by consuming poison, once in 2021 and again in 2023; however, he managed to survive on both occasions.
- During his formative years, he developed a keen interest in the art of mimicry. As he grew older, he actively engaged in local comedy shows, showcasing his talent by impersonating renowned actor Nana Patekar.

- He made the second attempt to end his own life by consuming phenyl while live streaming on Facebook. In the midst of the live stream, he disclosed that his live-in partner had been threatening him with a false rape accusation. Concerned friends promptly notified the authorities, who swiftly arrived at his residence. They discovered him in an unconscious state and urgently transported him to the hospital, where doctors managed to save his life.
- Following his recovery, Tirthanand Rao revealed that his live-in partner had two daughters who resided with them. He subsequently discovered that his partner was involved in prostitution, prompting his desire to end their relationship; however, her reaction to the impending breakup led to threats and intimidation, forcing him to resort to sleeping on the streets at times.

I am in debt of Rs 3-4 lakh because of this woman. I have known her since October last year. She had filed a police complaint against me in Bhayandar and I didn’t even know for what reason. Then she would also call me and say she wanted to meet. I met a woman. She has two daughters. We were also living together. During the relationship, I came to know that she works as a prostitute. I wanted to get rid of her. But, that woman started threatening me. On the contrary, she filed a case against me. Due to that fear, I have been running away for a long time. I could not go to my house for many days and was forced to sleep on the footpath. I am fed up with this and that is the reason why I want to kill myself.” [1]India Today
