• Vaniya was among 35 students awarded the Grace Hopper Scholarship in 2017.

• Vaniya worked as a tea consultant and social media manager at Adagio Teas in 2015 and as a medical assistant and receptionist at True Health Medical Centre (2016–2017) before becoming a software engineer.

• In 2018, Vaniya worked as an intern at Amazon. In September 2019, she joined the company as a full-time employee and worked there till 2022.

• Vaniya joined Microsoft as a Software Engineer II in September 2023.

• Vaniya made headlines in April 2025 when she started protesting against Microsoft during the company’s 50th-anniversary celebrations in Washington. She protested against Microsoft for their alleged role in supporting Israel’s military actions and surveillance capabilities.

• While protesting, Vaniya confronted Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, and Satya Nadella, who were present on stage but she was later escorted out from the hall by the security officials. She said,
