  • In June 2025, the Shri Ram Swabhiman Parishad, a charitable trust, filed a complaint against Wajahat Khan at Garden Reach Police Station in Kolkata, for posting hate speech against Hindus on social media.
  • Reportedly, he described Hindus as “rapist cultures” and “urine drinkers” in his post.

  • The group also blamed him for targeting Hindus, their beliefs, festivals, and traditions by using hurtful and sexually bad words against Hindu religion and their deities.

  • After that, Kolkata Police filed a case against him.
  • On 4 June 2025, his father confirmed that Wajahat Khan was missing. His family reportedly received death threats over phone after the arrest of Panoli.
  • His father said in the media that Wajahat got scared by abusive and threatening calls, and people blamed him for Panoli’s arrest. His father said,

    Wajahat Khan was getting calls from different numbers every five minutes. They abused him and said that he had trapped Panoli. Three people have even called me. He went into depression.”
