Some Lesser Known Facts About Jatin Kishore

• Jatin loves watching science fiction and reading books.

• Jatin made his first UPSC CSE attempt in 2018 but failed. However, he did not give up and was selected in the Indian Economic Service the next year. He was serving in the Ministry of Rural Development and simultaneously prepared for his second attempt while working in a job.

• Despite failing to pass prelims in his first attempt, he successfully achieved the All India Rank 2 in his second attempt.
  

• While serving as an IAS, Jatin would like to focus on the environment and education sector. He said,
  

  The IAS is a wonderful platform to serve and contribute to improving society in general. Depending on the district I am posted in, I will address the challenges. However, in general, I would like to focus on education as it forms the base of life”
