- He spent most of his childhood travelling across various places in India with his father as his father was an Indian Army officer.
- After completing high school, he graduated with B.Tech in computer science & engineering from Kurukshetra University, Haryana.
- Just like his father and elder brother, even Nishant wanted to join the Indian Army and serve the nation, but his mother did not allow him for it, so he developed an interest in acting and wanted to pursue that as a career.
- Soon after completing his degree, he auditioned for Grasim Mr India (2006), and he became the first runner up and won the best smile and Mr. Photogenic titles.
