  • Navneet Singh is an Indian lawn bowler who is known for being part of the quartet that won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022. The men’s quartet consisted of Sunil Bahadur (lead), Navneet Singh (second), Chandan Kumar Singh (third), and Dinesh Kumar (skip).
  • He started playing lawn bowl in 2010 when he was in school. He belongs to the same school where lawn bowler Pinki Singh is a physical education teacher. Pinki, who was part of the Indian women’s quartet that won a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, suggested him to play lawn bowl. In an interview, he talked about Pinki and said that he used to play cricket initially, but because of Pinki, he chose lawn bowl. In an interview, Pinki talked about Navneet and said,

    It is great that both of us are from the same school and could win a medal each.”

  • After winning a silver medal in the CWG, in an interview, he said that he aspired to become a pilot, and he had missed an entrance exam with Air India to compete in CWG 2022. He further said that it was worth missing the exam because they won the silver medal. He further added,

    I recently got my commercial pilot license and I have an exam with Air India tomorrow but I can’t reach there. Now that we finally have a medal, it is okay.”

  • After his statement at the CMG event, Air India said that Navneet could appear for the exam in September. In a Twitter post, Air India wrote,
