Controversy | On 7 March 2007, Parag was stopped by a traffic policeman, Narsingh Himabhai, when Parag was driving a car without wearing a seatbelt, and his wife, Minaben, was sitting next to him. The policeman asked him to pay Rs 100 as a fine. At first, he refused to pay, but later, he paid the fine using a fake name, Maganbhai C Patel. Reportedly, when the constable fought with Parag for using a fake name, Minaben thrashed the policeman. Later, the policeman filed a complaint against them.
