• Diler Kharkiya is an Indian singer famous for acting and rendering his voice to the Haryanvi video songs. On 1 January 2020, he rose to popularity for lending his voice to the Haryanvi song Moto, which was uploaded on the YouTube channel Dil Music; the video amassed over 650 million views.

• Rajender Kharkiya, Diler’s father, is a prominent face of the Haryanvi music industry, who used to perform Haryanvi Ragnis at various cultural events.

• On 21 December 1999, Diler’s father, Rajender Kharakiya, had a terrible road accident in which he lost his ability to walk and eventually, he was left in a wheelchair. Consequently, Diler’s family’s financial condition worsened, and he, at a very young age took the responsibility to look after his father’s treatment expenses. Diler, along with his father started performing Haryanvi Ragnis at several stage shows. Diler performed at live-stage cultural shows for constantly eight years and took care of his family’s financial needs.  

• Meanwhile, Diler created two YouTube channels, Dil Music and Diler Kharkiya. Dil Music was created in 2017 whereas Diler Kharkiya was created in 2020. He utilised both of his YouTube channels to post music videos of his Haryanvi songs. In 2018, he uploaded the music video of the Haryanvi song “Lilo Chaman” on his YouTube channel Dil Music, which went viral and was immensely appreciated by the viewers; the video amassed views of more than 20 crores.

• In August 2022, the Haryanvi singer Sumit Goswami accused Diler Kharkiya of allegedly plagiarizing the tune from one of his Haryanvi songs, “Gori R Bhartar Tera Aya.” Sumit claimed that Diler purposely copied the tune in his Haryanvi song “Boyfriend.” Diler, however, disapproved of the allegations and stated that he had not copied any of his tunes in his music video.
