- Kushal Malla is a Nepalese cricketer. He plays for the Nepal National Cricket Team as an all-rounder. He shot to fame after scoring a half-century in his debut one-day international match against the USA.
- Kushal developed an interest in cricket while he was in school. He was a part of his school’s cricket team and used to play various cricket matches for his school.
- One-day, while he was representing his school in an inter-school cricket match, Kushal hit 15 sixes, which caught the attention of his cricket coach Shakti Gaucham. He was just 12 years old at that time.
- At the domestic level, Kushal played for the Tribhuwan Army Club, a departmental army sporting club in Nepal.
- Kushal scored 111 runs (including 13 sixes) off 63 balls in Nepal’s premier 50-over domestic competition in 2018. His performance in the match drew the attention of the national selectors, who introduced him to Nepal’s national cricket team.
