Some Lesser Known Facts About Afsa Ansari

• Her husband, Mukhtar Ansari, was fond of playing cricket during his college days. After watching Mukhtar playing cricket in a stadium, Afsa who used to study at a nearby college fell in love with him.

• She regularly visited the stadium to watch Mukhtar play, and soon, they started a conversation and became friends. Later, they decided to get married with the consent of both of their families in 1989.

• After her husband, Mukhtar Ansari, went to jail in 2005, she took control of Ansari Gang’s criminal activities.

• Afsa Ansari started as an ordinary woman but became an important part of the gang over time. After that, the police filed nine cases against Afsa, including charges like the Gangster Act, land grabbing, and illegal business.

• She has been accused of helping her husband in illegal activities. Whenever Mukhtar Ansari went to jail, she managed his operations. She acted as a link between Mukhtar’s gang and him.

• Afsa Ansari always carries a licensed pistol and does various tasks for the gang, like delivering messages and giving orders.

• According to the police, she is a member of the IS-191 gang.

• When Mukhtar was sent to jail, Afsa was accused of illegally staying in jail with him.

• In 2018, when Afsa Ansari visited Banda jail to meet her husband, Mukhtar Ansari, both of them suffered a heart attack after taking tea in jail. Both of them were then taken to a district hospital in Banda.
