Some Lesser Known Facts About Parakh Om Bhatt
- Parakh Om Bhatt belongs to a family of priests in Rajkot, Gujarat who are experts in performing Vedic rituals. While growing up, he read many Hindu religious scriptures and mythologies including Mahabharata and Ramayana and also read the literature of legendary and famous authors.
- At the age of 12, he met his first spiritual Guru Ravi Trivedi who introduced him to Tantra.
- While pursuing electrical engineering, during the second year, Parakh Om began his diploma in performing arts from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
- After attending classes from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at his engineering college, he would study for his diploma of artworks and later after 11:00 pm, he would begin practices for his drama club till 3:00 in the morning.
- During his college days, he suffered from jaundice and got chronic back pain and had to undergo surgery.
- He was told by his doctors that the chances of him getting paralyzed from his left side were very high after the surgery; however, he decided to go forward with the surgery. The surgery was successful but he was advised to take bed rest for a long time.
- According to Parakh Om Bhatt, he started getting anxious and frustrated because of the boredom during his bed rest. So he took up writing and wrote one article daily. After he recovered, he had a collection of 50-55 articles.
- After his bed rest was completed, he took his literary work to many publications but was rejected multiple times.
- Later, he began working as a columnist at Azad Sandesh and began writing two columns per week for them.
- During that time, Parakh Om began reading Tantra scriptures and also expanded his knowledge on the subject and mythologies.
