  • In 1985, he became a member of the Panel of Presiding Members of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
  • In 1986, he became a Member of the Public Accounts Committee of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
  • In 1989, he became a Member of the Business Advisory Committee, Joint Committee on Public Sector Undertakings and Corporations and Estimates Committee under the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and remained till 1991.
