Controversy | Criticized for his sexist comments In August 2023, during one of the episodes of his show regarding high profile rape cases, Andrea Giambruno made several comments which were not liked by many netizens and later Andrea was heavily criticized for his remarks. In his remarks, Giambruno claimed that women should be more carefully if they do not want to be raped. He said, "If you go dancing you are fully entitled to get drunk ... but if you avoid getting drunk and losing consciousness, perhaps you’d also avoid getting into trouble, because then you’ll find the wolf." - Andrea Giambruno began working as a television reporter at the age of 22 while he was still pursuing graduation at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
- He is also the former partner of the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. He met Meloni on the set of the show where Meloni made a guest appearance and he was the writer.
- According to Andrea Giambruno, during his first meeting with Giorgia Meloni, she misunderstood him to be an assistant and also claimed that it was love at first sight.
- He is known for being the presenter of a news programme Diario del Giorno on Rete4 on Mediaset. The show is part of the MFE media group owned by the family of the Italian politician Silvio Berlusconi who also served as the former prime minister of Italy and was also a political ally of Giorgia Meloni.
