Controversy | Fined 15% for breaching Code of Conduct On 10 November 2024, while playing against West Indies in a T20I match, he injured his knee while bowling his first delivery. When he was walking back to the pavilion, he picked up a chair and smashed it hard against the handrail. Later, he was fined 15% of his match fee for breaching level 1 of ICC Code of Conduct under Article 2.2, which pertains to 'abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment, or fixtures and fittings during an international match.' He was also given 1 demerit point. |

- Reece Topley was born into a cricketing family as his father, Don Topley, and uncle, Peter Topley, played county cricket.
- He later attended the boarding school, Royal Hospital School in Holbrook, where his father was the master of cricket.
- During his childhood, he played hockey and also excelled in hurdle races and discus throw, but later chose cricket.
- He liked drama while studying at school and used to assemble different actors for any play. He used to watch films a lot as well.
- He was only 15 years old when he was bowling to Kevin Pietersen during nets at Loughborough University when a shot hit him on the side of his head. He was hospitalised and Pietersen later gave him his signed bat.
