• A few days later, on Red FM Delhi, during a live broadcast, an RJ said that “shopkeepers will now have to make their own security arrangements as Gorkhas have taken to singing” hinting towards Tamang. The Gorkhas got furious over the comment and protested at various places. They demanded that the RJ should be fired from the radio station. Later, the radio channel made a public apology on behalf of the RJ.

• After winning Indian Idol, he released a few Nepali music albums like Dhanyavad (2007), Namaste (2016), and Dhadkan Bhitra (2024).
