Some Lesser Known Facts About Sirivannavari
- Sirivannavari is a Thai princess and the second daughter of King Vajiralongkorn and Sujarinee Vivacharawongse.
- She was born with the name Mom Chao Busyanambejra Mahidol. Later, her name was changed to Mom Chao Chakkrityapha Mahidol, and then changed again to Mom Chao Sirivannavari Mahidol by order of Queen Sirikit.
- Sirivannavari has four full siblings. In 1966, after the divorce of her parents, her mother moved to the United Kingdom with her and her siblings. Later, in 2001, her father ordered Sirivannavari’s abduction and return to Thailand.
- Among all her siblings, only Sirivannavari bears royal titles. Her official title is Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari.
- On 5 June 2005, she was elevated to Princess status by royal command of her grandfather, King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
- As a teenager, Sirivannavari actively trained in badminton. She represented Thailand in badminton at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines, where her team won a gold medal. In 2016, a badminton tournament called the Thailand Masters was launched and named in her honour.
- In 2007, Sirivannavari was invited by French couturier Pierre Balmain to present her fashion show in Paris. Her debut collection, titled “Presence of the Past,” was inspired by memories of her royal grandmother and provided a modern interpretation of traditional Thai costumes.

Later, YouTuber Wanchaleom Jamneanphol, also known as Mixy Bigmouth, criticized the dress and called it ugly. After his comment, he was reportedly threatened with legal action under Thailand’s lèse-majesté laws.
- In 2016, Sirivannavari was appointed as a specialist in the Royal Thai Army with the rank of major general.
- In 2019, she received the Knight of the Most Illustrious Order of the Royal House of Chakri and the King Rama X Royal Cypher Medal, First Class.
