• After completing his formal education, Rob Jetten worked as a management trainee at the Dutch railway authority ProRail.

• Later, he was promoted to the position of a consultant.

• In June 2020, during a media conference, Rob Jetten said that he would not contest for party leader and claimed that Sigrid Kaag, a Dutch politician, was a better candidate.

• He was placed second on the candidate list of Democrats 66 party. He served in the position till 28 September 2021.

• On 10 January 2022, when the fourth Rutte cabinet started, Rob Jetten was appointed as the Minister for Climate and Energy Policy.

• That same year, under his leadership, the Dutch government announced plans which included the investment of 750 million euros until 2031.

• On 8 January 2024, Kaag resigned and joined the United Nations.

• Jetten was then appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Netherlands. During this period, he also served as Minister of Finance for four days.

• His finance work was overseen by the State Secretary Marnix van Rij.

• Rob Jetten served in the position till 2 July 2024.

• On the same day, the Schoof cabinet was formed. When that cabinet presented its 2025 budget, it included €2 billion for education.

• Rob Jetten often appeared on television during the election campaign. He then joined a pre-recorded quiz show titled ‘The Smartest Person.’
