  • Sara Netanyahu is a trained educational and career psychologist.
  • After marrying Benjamin Netanyahu, she became the spouse of the prime minister of Israel, a role she has held for the third time.
  • Her father was a Polish-born Israeli Jewish educator, author, poet, and biblical scholar, and her mother, Chava, was a sixth-generation Jerusalemite. All of Sara’s brothers were Israel Bible Contest champions.
  • During her school years, she was an outstanding student.
  • In 1980, she got married for the first time to Doron Neuberger; however, the couple got divorced in 1987.
  • In 1989, Sara met with Benjamin Netanyahu while she was working as a flight attendant for Israel’s national airline, El Al. At that time, Benjamin was serving as Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister.

  • While working in the Israel Defense Forces and the Ministry of Labour, she was a psycho-technical evaluator in the Department of Behavioral Sciences of the Military Intelligence Directorate.
