  • Gaurav Dhingra was born and raised in New Delhi, India.
  • After completing his post graduate diploma in Content Creation and Management (PGDCCM) from School of Convergence, New Delhi, he started his professional career with Kaleidoscope Entertainment, where he assisted Producer Bobby Bedi.
  • Under the guidance of Bobby Bedi, he learnt Film making and production by taking on various roles in films, including Maqbool (2003), Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005), The Myth (2005) Valley of Flowers (2006), and American Daylight (2004).
  • In 2012, Gaurav founded Jungle Book Studio to create India-focused films and series internationally. The first project of his production house was a documentary, titled Faith Connections (2013) based on the Kumbh Mela. It was sold in over 20 international countries.
  • In 2013 Dhingra was selected to represent India at the Trans-Atlantic Partners (TAP), the intensive training and networking programme for European Canadian and American producers.
  • In 2015, Gaurav independently produced India’s first female film, Angry Indian Goddesses, which was sold to over 67 countries globally by Mongrel International & licensed by Netflix worldwide. The film received People’s Choice Award at Toronto International Film Festival and BNL People’s Choice Award at the 10th Rome Film Festival.
  • In 2016, Gaurav produced the international film, Beyond the Known World, starring Australian star David Wenham and French star Emmanuelle Beart, which was released in Australia and New Zealand in 2017.
  • He also served as the line producer for an American reality competition show, The Amazing Race for multiple seasons.
  • In 2023, Gaurav Dhingra produced a short film Stolen, starring Abhishek Banerjee in the lead role. The production of the film began in 2019, but due to COVID-19 pandemic it was temporarily stopped.

  • Despite the setback, the film made a powerful comeback and premiered at 2023 Venice and Zurich Film Festivals. The film streamed worldwide on Amazon Prime Video, where it received widespread praise.
  • In April 2026 came into news after winning Best Script award for his short film Stolen, at the the Chetak Screen Awards 2026. He shared the award with Karan Tejpal and Swapnil Salkar.

  • Along with producing film, Gaurav has been associated with 15-time Emmy Award-winning reality shows including, Ice Road Truckers: Deadliest Roads (Season 1) for History Channel and World’s Toughest Truckers (India Episode) for Discovery & Channel 5.
  • Gaurav also collaborated with Patrick Costello, the Showrunner of Rennervations (2023), an American documentary miniseries, to help the production efforts and hire a local crew for the particular episode that was shot in Rajasthan.
