Oz Pearlman Pearlman was born in Israel.

When he was three years old, his family moved to the United States due to his father’s job, who was an engineer and also a Lieutenant Commander in Israeli Navy.

In an interview, Oz revealed that when he turned twelve, his family informed that he had had a twin brother who died at birth.

At the age of 14, he started performing magic at restaurants, children’s shows and corporate events. In an interview, he revealed between the age of 14 and 18, he always kept a deck of cards with him.

At the age of 16, he enrolled at the University of Michigan. In an interview, he revealed that during college he paid for his tuition fee by performing magic at events. In 2003, Pearlman completed his graduation.

Around 2003, he also created a magic instrumental DVD, Born To Perform Card Magic, which was very popular among people who wanted to learn magic at that time. The filming of the DVD took place in Las Vegas and around 1,000,000 copies were sold.

After graduation, he employed at Merrill Lynch in its global technology-services department, and at that he was performing magic and mentalism as a part-time profession.

In an interview, Oz Pearlman revealed that while working at Merrill Lynch, after he was allowed to deliver a corporate entertainment show to upper management within the Merrill Lynch, he quit his full-time corporate job and become a full-time entertainer.

In 2004, Pearlman was in magazine, New York Post, in an article titled ” Do You Believe in Magic. After that he featured in many magazine and daily newspapers.

In 2015, he gained wide spread recognition after appearing on America Got Talent, where he impressed the judges and audience with his mind reading games. He reached in the finale; however, did not win the show.

After the show, he became a popular corporate entertainer and performed in renowned companies and high-profile clients across the USA.

In 2018, NBC TV (national) aired a travel show called Oz Knows, that covered Pearlman performances on mentalism at various tourist attractions where he would perform his mentalism.

In May 2018. Pearlman won an Emmy Award for the show, Oz Knows.

In 2020, Oz Pearlman again participated in America Got Talent: The Champions.

In July 2023, Pearlman was a featured performer for ESPY Awards on ESPN.

Along with doing magic and mind reading, Oz is also long marathon athlete. In 2022, Pearlman broke the world record for most miles run in Central Park in New York, where he ran was more than 116 miles. He completed the race in 17 hours, 40 minutes and 59 seconds.

He also won the Chicago Ultra Marathon, where he ran 50-mile marathon in 5 hours, 25 minute and 26 seconds.

On August 5, 2022, Oz ran 130 miles from Montauk to Manhattan in 21 hours, 52 minutes and 33 seconds. A short documentary was also released about the run and The New York Times published an article about it.

In long marathon, he won the New Jersey Marathon four times.

On December 17, 2024, Pearlman appeared as a guest on an American Radio show, The Howard Stern Show.

On October 28, 2025, published his book titled Read Your Mind. The book was released by Penguin Random House.

Not all Oz’s mentalism attempts have been successful. In 2016, on The Today Show, he asked Al Roker to name a celebrity who could run for President. Roker first named George Clooney; however, Pearlman already predicted Taylor Swift and showed a T-shirt with her image. Before revealing the T-shirt to the audience, Oz asked Roker to choose a woman instead of man, Then Roker took Taylor Swift name. Later, in an interview, he revealed that he guided Roker’s answer so the trick would work and look more impressive He said,

And what if it could be anybody else?” What if—and—and so, I was steering him back on track to what I thought would work. And—and so it looked even more amazing, because it seemed like he changed his mind at the last moment.”
