• Atiqa Mir was born in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India.

• She shifted with her parents from India to Dubai at an early age.

• Initially, Atiqa Mir began racing electric karts as a recreational activity.

• After that, she began learning karting professionally.

• Her father, Asif Nazir Mir, is her role model, who supported her racing career. He used to represent India in various karting champions, such as the Barber Dodge Pro Series in the USA and the Formula Asia.

• When Atiqa Mir was six years old, she began participating in karting championships, organised in United Arab Amirates (UAE).

• In 2022, she became the vice-champion in the Mini R category of the UAE IAME National Karting Championship.

• In 2024, she was the first Indian female driver who qualified for the finals of the Rotax Euro Trophy, which was organised in South Garda, Italy.

• Atiqa Mir once stated in a media talk that she wanted to become the first woman to compete in Formula 1. She said,
  

  I want to be the first woman in the modern era to compete in Formula 1. You just need to believe in the vision and work hard every single day. I think I can do it.”

• That same year, Atiqa Mir participated in the Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy (RMCIT), which was organised in Le Mans, France.  She competed in the Micro Max category and won a race.

• She then became the first female to win a race in these championships.

• In 2024, Atiqa Mir was chosen for the Iron Dames Young Talent program and became the only Asian driver to do so.

• That same year, she competed in the MENA Nations Cup organised in Dubai and stood second.

• When she was ten years old, she became the highest-ranked female driver across the world in FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) or CIK (Commission Internationale de Karting) championships.

• In January 2025, Atiqa Mir started training at the Babyrace Driver Academy in Italy.

• She then competed in the World Series Karting (WSK) Championships, organised in Europe.

• After that, she stood in the Top-10 position at the Rotax Euro Trophy, which was organised in the Czech Republic. She then became the first Indian and Asian female to secure this position.

• In February 2025, Atiqa Mir competed at the IAME Summer Cup, organised at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, where she was among the top three contestants.

  When I look back, I feel Atiqa was born to be a racer. As a kid, she would only ask for cars, especially Lightning McQueen, who was her hero.”
