- In June 2026, Sejal Pawar made headlines when one of her videos while attending a stand-up comedy show by comedian Pranit More went online.
- On the show, during an interaction with the host, she was asked about her anatomy training and post-mortem procedures.
- She then jokes about the private parts and genital sizes of male cadavers (the bodies which are donated for medical education).
- In the video, she described the procedure how the doctors cut the cadavers from feet, abdomen, and to skull. After that, she also stated that she and her colleagues would often compare the sizes of the private parts of male cadavers. She said,
Whatever jo bhi, size vagera jo bhi.”
- After her video went viral, she received criticism from both the public and the medical community for her remarks on male cadavers.
- After that, many medical institutions, such as the All India Medical Students’ Association (AIMSA) and the Maharashtra Association for Resident Doctors (MARD), also criticised her for her remarks.
- Many people on social media blamed her for violating the medical ethics and professional conduct. They claimed that she had made fun of the respect and dignity that should be shown to the body donors, which are contributed to science.
