Yasser Ibrahim was born and raised in Mansoura, Egypt.

He began his football journey with the youth academy of his hometown club, Mansoura SC at a very young age.

In 2011, while he was still a teenager, he made his senior debut for Mansoura and gained experience in Egypt’s lower division. In the same year, he represented Egypt at the Under-19 level.

In the 2013 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, he helped to win the cup for his country.

In the same year, at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, he represented Egypt and played every match for his country in the tournament.

In October 2013, Yasser Ibrahim signed for Zamalek SC, which is one of the Egypt’s biggest football clubs; however, he found it difficult to secure a regular place in the starting lineup.

Despite having limited first-team opportunities, he helped Zamalek SC to won the Egypt Cup, a main knockout football cup competition in Egypt.

In 2014, Yasser moved to Smouha SC on loan, where regular playing time helped him to establish himself as a reliable central defender.

From 2015 to 2018, Ibrahim made nearly 100 appearances for Smouha in all competitions.

On 7 January 2019, he signed for Al Ahly SC and became a regular starter in defense.

Since then, Yasser Ibrahim won several Premier League titles, including Egypt Cups, Egyptian Super Cups, and Confederation of African Football (CAF) Super Cups with Al Ahly SC.

In February 2022, Yasser scored two goals against Al Hilal in the FIFA World Cup and helped Al Ahly finish at third position.

In March 2022, Ibrahim made his senior international debut for Egypt in the FIFA World Cup qualifying play-off against Senegal.

On 2 December 2025, Yasser was named in Egypt’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. In the tournament he played regularly and became one of the Egypt’s most trusted defenders under coach Hossam Hassan.

On 5 January 2026, he scored his first international against Benin in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

On 7 July 2026 came into international news after he scored a crucial header against Argentina in the FIFA World Cup and became one of Egypt’s standout performers at the tournament.

During the tournament Yasser became Egypt’s first-choice centre-back and played a key role in helping the team reach the Round of 16, their best World Cup performance in many year.
