  • In April 2026, ACP Sanjay Singh came into news for his heroic acts in Mission 11 Minutes, where he create green corridor to transport Lungisani Ngidi to hospital in just 11 minute during the peak traffic hours, who got badly injured during a match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings in Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium, New Delhi on 25 April 2026.

  • As soon as ACP Sanjay Singh, who was stationed at the stadium, saw Ngidi situation, he immediately took charge. When the ambulance driver suggested using Google Maps, Sanjay Singh stopped him and asked to follow Sanjay’s instructions. In an interview, he shared,

I knew it was 6 p.m. and peak traffic time. The route on Google Maps could be congested. Based on my knowledge, I chose the longer, open route and informed the control room.”

  • The distance from Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium to BLK Max Hospital in Rajendra Nagar is approximately of about 10 kilometres and that took approximately 30 minutes especially during the peak traffic hours. The ambulance carrying Lungi Ngidi left the stadium at 6:16 pm and arrived at the hospital at 6:27 pm.
  • Under the guidance of DCP Nishant Gupta Delhi Centre District, 60 police officers were coordinated over wireless sets. In an interview, ACP Sanjay Singh mentioned that this was the first time a ‘green corridor’ was created in just a few minutes, without any prior preparation.
  •  Along with his police officer career, he is also a former cricketer. From 1996 to 2012, he played from Delhi Police.
  • His cricketing experience helped him understand the urgency of the situation and he respond to Lungi Ngidi situation immediately. In an interview, he said.
