• While growing up in Pretoria, Markram attended Cornwall Hill College (CHC) for high school.

• In 2012, he matriculated from Pretoria Boys High School.

• According to Markram, at the age of two, he got his first cricket kit.

• While studying in school, Markram also played rugby and soccer besides cricket.

• During his school years, he participated in indoor cricket for a few years and was a member of the Villagers cricket team in Irene where he played club cricket.

• When Markram reached high school, he started focussing more on cricket over rugby.

• When he was studying at Cornwall Hill College (CHC) in Pretoria, cricket coach Bloemink sharpened his cricket skills.

• In 2007, Aiden was a member of the Northerns U13 Standard Bank team. He did not participate in the U17 or U19 levels (Coke Week or Cubs Week).

• During his time at Pretoria Boys High, he began participating in team cricket for the first time in 2010.

• Following his graduation in 2012, he enrolled in the Tuks Cricket Academy for the 2013 season, where he focused on refining his cricket abilities for almost ten months. In an interview, he talked about his Tuks days and said,

• During his Tuks days, Aiden captained the Tuks 2 Premier League side.

• On 9 October 2014, Aiden Markram played his first First Class match for the Northerns cricket team against South Western Districts, and he was later added to the Northerns squad for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup.

• Aiden Markram led the South African team to victory in the Under-19 World Cup held in the UAE in 2014; he was the tournament’s top run-scorer.

• In August 2017, Markram was appointed captain of the South Africa A cricket team for two four-day games against India A.

• By February 2018, he took over as captain of the South African ODI team, replacing Faf du Plessis, who was sidelined for the remaining five ODIs and the T20I series against India because of a finger injury. • In 2018, he was part of the Paarl Rocks team in the first Mzansi Super League T20 competition.

• In 2019, Markram joined Hampshire County Cricket Club as their overseas player for the first part of the season.

• He contributed significantly to the Titans’ victory in the 2018–19 Momentum One Day Cup final by scoring 127 runs.

• Markram also played for the Paarl Rocks in the 2019 Mzansi Super League tournament.

• On 11 September 2021, the Punjab Kings included him for the latter half of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) season in the UAE.

• At the 2022 IPL auctions, Sunrisers Hyderabad acquired him. During the 2023 IPL season, Markram was named captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
