- Amir made his first-class debut on 7 April 2017 against Barbados at Bridgetown. He scored 32 and 71 runs on his debut at Kensington Oval.
- On 16 January 2015, Amir made his List A debut for the West Indies U19 team against Trinidad and Tobago at Shaw Park. He has played List A matches for the teams like West Indies U19 (2015), Combined Campuses and Colleges (2017-18), Trinidad and Tobago (2018 to 2022) and the Leeward Islands (2019 to 2021).

- Amir made his Twenty20 debut on 2 September 2020, for the Trinbago Knight Riders in the 2020 Caribbean Premier League.
