May they find peace and closure in their lives." • In October 2019, another playback singer, Neha Bhasin, also joined Sona Mohapatra, and Shweta Pandit to accuse Anu Malik of indecent behavior under the #MeToo India campaign. She said that at the start of her career, she had an uncomfortable experience with him. Bhasin tweeted her allegation in reply to singer Sona Mohapatra’s string of tweets criticizing the composer and Sony TV for hiring him back as the judge of Indian Idol. • On 2 August 2021, Anu Malik's another plagiarised work surfaced when Israel's national anthem was played after Israeli gymnast Artem Dolgopyat won Israel’s first-ever Olympic medal in artistic gymnastics at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as it was found that the anthem's music was plagiarised by Malik in the song 'Mera Mulk Mera Desh' from the film Diljale (1996). Soon, Anu Malik started trending on Twitter, and several memes apeared on social media, mocking Malik and his plagiarised work. [1]India Today |
